Where will these steetcars be made? We bought street cars in Pgh.. we had a local company Westinghouse transportation that built the best street cars but our local politicians decided to take vacations to Germany instead of having the street cars made right here in Pittsburgh... they ordered cars made in Germany that cost twice as much...they did have Westinghouse build the rail cars for our airport... the cars made in Germany lasted 10 years and had to be replaced.. the Westinghouse rail cars that cost half as much are still running like new at the airport after 19 years. Our government has given all our jobs away... just that one Westinghouse plant employed 15,000 people at one time.. our government gave those jobs away... now they say they are creating green jobs... sure .. we give away a million jobs and create 100. We better not let them screw up health care!

Only sorry that Transportation Secretary, Mr. LaHood, couldn't announce the return of Amtrak's Sunset Limited east of New Orleans. Amtrak truncated America's only coast to coast (LA to Orlando) passenger train after Katrina and has yet to restore service.
Effectively disrupting the national passenger rail system.
Now if one wishes to travel by rail from California to Florida across the southern states they must go from California to New Orleans then NE to Washington DC then S down the eastern seaboard to Florida. So much for national connectivity via passenger rail.
