VRE - The "SNAKE"
I did not forget to validate my ticket, rather I validated what I thought was a round trip ticket - when in reality it was only a one way ticket. Slam - no forgiveness - I was found guilty of fraud and fined $181.00! What a crock! Over the past 7 years I rode VRE I spent over $20,000.00 on fares! One innocent mistake and this is how they treat their customers! I vowed never to ride VRE ever again. And I will continue to advocate that you and everyone else do the same until VRE changes this ridiculous policy and apologizes to their customers. They used to be such a customer service oriented organization. What happendd?

BEWARE - VRE IS A SNAKE IN DISGUISE
For those unknowing innocent riders who ride the VRE like me - let it be known (since VRE doesn't let it be known) that they now have a "zero tolerance" policy when it comes to ticket validation. The fine for neglecting to validate your $8.45 ticket is a court appearance in the General District Court of Alexandria and up to $500.00 fine. And the judge is not in the least forgiving!
