This is a drop in the bucket.

Nice gesture, but $100 million is almost nothing, when distributed among so many local systems. How many billions have our disastrously mismanaged and environmentally irresponsible (criminal, even, if one recalls the scandals around GM and the streetcar scandal) auto manufacturers received?

This is a miniscule fraction in comparison. We are ridiculously far behind Europe and some countries of Asia in terms of transit and livable cities (and obviously even those countries have a long way to go).

President Obama, Congress, Senate! Where are your priorities? Where is real "change"?

Interesting. Does anyone know if any of the stimulus money is going directly to expanding public transportation routes and capacity?
