How many billions have our disastrously mismanaged and environmentally irresponsible (criminal, even, if one recalls the scandals around GM and the streetcar scandal) auto manufacturers received? This is a miniscule fraction in comparison. We are ridiculously far behind Europe and some countries of Asia in terms of transit and livable cities (and obviously even those countries have a long way to go). President Obama, Congress, Senate!
