I think Clutch answered your question – Boxer’s up for re-election. Good chance our Gov’ – the leader responsible for reducing the state’s vehicle license fee from 2 to .65%, thereby creating a $6 billion structural deficit that is greatly responsible for the miss CA finds itself in today (IOUs will probably have to be issued soon), will use any increase in gas tax against her.

It only proves she is gutless, and lacking leadership qualities, but perhaps quite politically savvy. BTW, I like Voinvavich’s comment about Boxer and the environment – I wonder is he is up for re-election?

If great minds think alike, what does it say about Boxer teaming up with a Global Warming denier against Oberstar and Voinivich? Obama’s got a full plate so his plan to delay makes some sense even if I think it’s a terrible idea, but what’s the excuse of the head of the Senate Transportation Committee?

Boxer is up for re-election in 2010, and she’s counting on BIG ($10Million+) financial and political support from labor unions, developers and construction firms, i.e., the road gang. She may be a little more willing to support reform come 2011.
