Has a real good chance now!

'Almost' anytime you tie something into or onto another bill, it gets passed and since we are still in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting, it has a good chance of passing!

Found the following one hour after it posted on New York Times.

Some Transit Aid May Be Freed Up for Operating Costs New York Times - 1 hour ago? June 16, 2009 10:PM EST?

A provision tucked inside the latest war spending bill would allow transit agencies... to spend up to 10 percent of their stimulus money on operating expenses. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/17/us/17transit.html?ref=nyregion

Rep. Jim Oberstar, I will no longer address or consider you a Representative of the Democratic party if you block this transportation bill!

Push this through short-term extensions of the federal transportation bill and forget Oberstar! If he block this or refuse to support the bill, he is hurting his own constituents! Is that what he wants?

I haven't driven in over 10 years and I, along with many others need public transportation, we depend on it to visit Doctors, jobs, shopping, etc!

If people can't work, the end up on Welfare, in shelters or in tent cities!

If they can't see the Doctor, they get sick and seek public health care at tax dollars!

If they can't shop, you lose that income from taxes and spending at are needed to help the economy!

Oberstar, don't stab the voters in the back!
